1941 INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER
The Legacy of Our Antique Fire Truck
On October 6, 1958, the Village of Creemore purchased its first motorized fire truck. The village acquired a used 1941 International Harvester from the Royal Canadian Air Force for $2,100, marking a significant milestone as the first motorized fire truck in Creemore's history. The 1941 International Harvester remained in service until January 1, 1990, when it was finally retired. Following its retirement, the Creemore Firefighters Association took ownership of the 1941 International Harvester and embarked on a mission to restore it to its former glory.
